Bayer Acerbo is a advanced, broad-spectrum, dual-action systemic fungicide. Its formulation combines two powerful active ingredients: Fluopyram 21.37% + Trifloxystrobin 21.37% SC (Suspension Concentrate).

It offers a powerful blend of systemic, translaminar, and mesosystemic action. Fluopyram belongs to the SDHI (Succinate Dehydrogenase Inhibitor) group, halting fungal cellular energy production, while Trifloxystrobin is a strobilurin that disrupts fungal mitochondrial respiration. Together, they stop spore germination, halt mycelial growth, and provide long-lasting preventive and curative defense.

Key Benefits of Bayer Acerbo

  • Dual Mode of Action: Combines two distinct chemical classes, making it highly effective at managing and delaying fungicide resistance.

  • Broad-Spectrum Control: Effectively targets tough fungal infections like Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose, Sheath Blight, Leaf/Neck Blast, and Purple Blotch.

  • Rain-Fast Protection: Rapidly binds to the waxy outer layer of plant leaves, becoming rain-fast within 2 hours of application.

  • Extended Residual Activity: Provides long-lasting protection for 15 to 21 days, reducing the frequency of total sprays needed per season.

Best Time to Spray

  • Growth & Disease Stage: Apply at the very first appearance of disease symptoms (such as initial spots or powdery patches) or proactively as a preventive spray during critical humid growth stages (e.g., tillering/booting in rice or canopy closure in vegetables).

  • Time of Day: Spray during the early morning or late evening hours. Avoid application under intense, glaring sunlight or extreme heat.

  • Weather Conditions: Avoid spraying during high-velocity winds or if heavy rainfall is anticipated immediately (though it is rain-fast after 2 hours).

Safety Precautions

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear chemical-resistant gloves, a face shield, safety goggles, and protective body clothing while mixing and applying the spray.

  • Handling Care: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco during application. Avoid inhaling the spray mist or allowing direct skin and eye contact.

  • Storage Security: Keep the container tightly sealed in its original packaging, stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and completely out of reach of children and farm animals.

  • Environmental Protection: Avoid drift towards aquaculture or water bodies. The product is toxic to aquatic organisms; do not dump leftover solution or container wash water into ponds or rivers.

  • Post-Application Hygiene: Wash hands, face, and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water immediately after completing the work. Wash contaminated work clothes separately.
