Adama Barazide is a advanced, broad-spectrum insecticide formulated as a Suspension Concentrate (SC). It combines two powerful active ingredients—Novaluron 5.25% + Emamectin Benzoate 0.9% SC—offering a dual-action mechanism to control tough chewing and sucking insect pests effectively.
Key Features & Mode of Action
Novaluron (5.25%): Acts as an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR). It inhibits chitin synthesis, preventing pests from forming their exoskeleton properly during molting, which stops their development.
Emamectin Benzoate (0.9%): Acts primarily as a stomach poison with translaminar action. It affects the nervous system of the pests, causing paralysis and quick cessation of feeding.
Dual Protection: Targets both eggs and active larval stages, ensuring long-lasting residual control and reducing future pest flare-ups
Recommended Uses Across Crops
Barazide is versatile and can be used across a wide range of agricultural, horticultural, and plantation crops to manage destructive caterpillars, pod borers, fruit borers, and leaf-miners.
Crop Category | Target Pests | General Dosage (per Liter of Water) |
Commercial Crops (Cotton, Soybean, Groundnut, etc.) | Bollworms, Armyworms, Spodoptera, Stem borers | 1.5 to 2.0 ml per liter |
Vegetable Crops (Tomato, Brinjal, Cabbage, Chilli, Okra) | Fruit borers, Diamondback moth, Shoot & fruit borer | 1.0 to 1.5 ml per liter |
Fruit & Horticulture Crops (Mango, Pomegranate, Citrus, Grapes) | Fruit borers, Thrips, Leaf-eating caterpillars | 1.5 to 2.0 ml per liter |
Note: Always calibrate your knapsack sprayer and ensure thorough spray coverage on both upper and lower leaf surfaces. Adjust dosage according to pest severity and crop stage.
Best Time to Spray
Weather Conditions: Spray during the early morning hours (after dew dries) or late in the afternoon. Avoid spraying during peak sunlight hours or high winds to prevent rapid evaporation and drift.
Pest Threshold: Initiate spraying upon observing early pest infestation or economic threshold levels (ETL) of larval activity, rather than waiting for severe crop damage.
Safety Precautions
Protective Gear: Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE)—including rubber gloves, a face mask/respirator, goggles, long-sleeved clothing, and boots—while mixing and spraying.
Handling Guidelines: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco during application. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
Environmental Care: Wash equipment thoroughly away from water bodies, ponds, or wells to prevent aquatic contamination.
Storage & Disposal: Store the product tightly sealed in its original container in a cool, dry place away from children and food items. Safely dispose of empty containers by crushing and burying them.
