Adama Agil is a selective, systemic, post-emergence herbicide belonging to the aryloxyphenoxypropionate family.
Active Ingredient: Propaquizafop 10% EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate)
Mode of Action: Absorbed rapidly through weed foliage and translocated to growth points (nodes/roots). It inhibits the ACCase enzyme (acetyl-CoA carboxylase), halting lipid synthesis, cell membrane formation, and growth.
Visual Result: Growth stops in 24–48 hours; complete weed death/necrosis occurs within 10 to 15 days
Rain-fastness: Rain-fast within 1 hour of application
Crop-Wise Dosage Guide
Note on Selectivity: Agil is safe only for broadleaf crops, pulses, and oilseeds. Never use on grass-family crops (paddy/rice, wheat, maize, sorghum, sugarcane, millets) as it will severely damage them

Standard general dilution: 2 ml per liter of water (approx. 400 ml diluted in 200 liters of water per acre)
Best Time & Conditions to Spray
Growth Stage of Weeds: Spray when grassy weeds are actively growing at the 2 to 4-leaf stage (15–20 days after crop sowing/transplanting) [cite: 1.1.3]. Overgrown/mature grasses require higher stress or may escape complete knockdown.
Time of Day: Spray during early morning or late evening. Avoid peak afternoon heat or high wind velocity to prevent drift.
Soil Moisture: Adequate soil moisture at application significantly enhances weed root uptake and systemic translocation. Avoid spraying under severe drought stress.
Safety Precautions
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear face masks, chemical-resistant gloves, eye goggles, and long-sleeved protective clothing during mixing and spraying [cite: 1.1.6]. Avoid inhaling spray mist or direct skin contact.
Drift Management: Do not spray when high winds blow toward sensitive grass crops, water bodies, or pisciculture zones.
Equipment Cleanup: Thoroughly wash sprayers with clean water and detergent after application before using equipment for other crops.
Re-Entry Interval: Keep workers and cattle away from treated fields for at least 12 hours post-application.
Storage: Store in original tight containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space away from direct sunlight, food, and animal feed. Keep out of reach of children.
