Tata Rallis Asataf is a broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide containing Acephate 75% SP (Soluble Powder). It delivers dual-action control—combining systemic activity (absorbed by foliage and distributed internally) with direct contact action—making it highly effective against sucking pests, chewing caterpillars, and stem borers.
Key Technical Details
Active Ingredient: Acephate 75% SP (Soluble Powder)
Chemical Family: Organophosphate
Mode of Action: Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor. It disrupts neurotransmission in the insect's nervous system, leading to rapid knockdown followed by mortality.
Solubility: Readily dissolves in water without forming heavy residues, ensuring uniform spray coverage.

Optimal Spray Timing
Time of Day: Spray in the early morning (before 9:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 4:30 PM). Avoid midday heat, as strong sunlight accelerates evaporation and degrades active ingredients.
Infestation Stage: Apply at the initial emergence of nymphs or larvae (Economic Threshold Level - ETL) before pest colonies establish heavy leaf-curl or sooty mold.
Weather Conditions: Apply on calm days with low wind speeds (under 10 km/h) to prevent drift. Ensure clear skies with no rain forecast within 4–6 hours to guarantee systemic absorption.
Flowering Stage Caution: Avoid spraying during peak bloom/flowering to protect active pollinators.
Safety Precautions & Handling
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear chemical-resistant gloves, a face mask/respirator, safety goggles, and full-length protective clothing during mixing and application.
Worker & Food Safety: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco while handling the chemical. Wash hands, face, and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after application.
Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI):
Cotton: 15 days
Paddy: 15 days
Vegetables & Fruits: Maintain at least 7 to 10 days between the last spray and harvest.
Pollinator Protection: Acephate is toxic to honeybees and aquatic organisms. Do not spray near open waterways or directly onto bee-foraging flowers.
Storage & Disposal: Store in the original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, food, animal feed, and children. Crush and puncture empty packets before disposing of them safely according to local agricultural waste regulations; never reuse empty containers.
First Aid / Antidote: In case of accidental ingestion or acute organophosphate poisoning, consult a medical professional immediately. Atropine sulfate is the standard specific antidote.
