Effective pest control for crops

₹650.00

PI Colfos is a powerful, broad-spectrum insecticide featuring Ethion 40% + Cypermethrin 5% EC. This specialized combination is designed to provide "forceful" control over a wide array of pests, particularly those that have become difficult to manage with single-molecule treatments.

Product Overview

  • Technical Name: Ethion 40% + Cypermethrin 5% EC

  • Chemical Group: Organophosphorus + Synthetic Pyrethroid

  • Mode of Action:

    • Contact & Stomach Action: It provides immediate results upon contact or ingestion.

    • Synergistic Power: The combination of Ethion (strong acaricidal and insecticidal properties) and Cypermethrin (fast knockdown) creates a lethal effect on pests at lower dosages.

    • Translaminar Activity: Helps in controlling pests hidden on the underside of leaves.

Key Benefits

  • Superior Mite & Insect Control: Specifically effective against various mite species while simultaneously killing major bollworms and sucking pests.

  • Instant Knockdown: Rapidly paralyzes the pest's nervous system, causing them to stop feeding and damaging the crop immediately.

  • Effective on Resistant Pests: Highly reliable for managing pest populations that show resistance to conventional insecticides.

  • Ovicidal Action: Effectively kills insect eggs, significantly reducing the pest load in the next generation.

Application Instructions

  • Mixing: Add the recommended dose to a small amount of water to create a uniform emulsion before filling the spray tank to the required volume.

  • Spray Quality: Use a hollow cone nozzle for fine mist and better coverage. Ensure the spray reaches the lower parts of the plant and the undersides of the leaves.

  • Timing: For maximum efficacy, apply during early morning or evening hours. Avoid application during peak sunlight or strong winds.

Safety Precautions

  1. Personal Safety: This is a potent formulation. Use full protective gear, including a face mask, chemical-resistant gloves, and goggles. Wash hands and face thoroughly after use.

  2. Pollinators: Highly toxic to bees. Do not spray during the active flowering period.

  3. Aquatic Life: Avoid contamination of ponds, lakes, or streams as it is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms.

  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from children, pets, and food items.

  5. Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): Always follow the mandatory waiting period (typically 15–21 days) between the last spray and harvest to ensure food safety.
