Bayer Confidor is a world-renowned, highly effective systemic insecticide containing Imidacloprid 17.8% SL (Soluble Liquid). It belongs to the chloronicotinyl (neonicotinoid) chemical class and acts by interfering with the nervous system of insects through the blocking of postsynaptic nicotinic receptors.
Confidor provides rapid contact and systemic action. Once applied, it is quickly absorbed by plant roots and foliage and translocated upward throughout the plant's vascular system. This makes it exceptionally effective against sap-sucking pests that hide under leaves or on new growth, providing long-lasting protection while also improving overall plant vigor.

Best Time to Spray
Pest Threshold: Apply at the first appearance of sucking pests or when pest populations begin to build up, rather than waiting for heavy infestations.
Time of Day: Spray during the early morning or late afternoon. Avoid spraying during peak sunlight and high temperatures to ensure better absorption and prevent rapid evaporation.
Weather Conditions: Choose a calm, windless day to avoid spray drift. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected within a few hours.
Safety Precautions
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear rubber/chemical-resistant gloves, protective eye goggles, a face mask/respirator, long-sleeved clothing, and pants during mixing and application.
Handling Safety: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco while handling or spraying the product. Avoid direct skin contact and inhalation of spray mists.
Post-Application Care: Wash hands, face, and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water immediately after the work is finished. Clean all spray equipment thoroughly.
Environmental Protection: Confidor is toxic to bees; avoid spraying during active bee foraging hours (prefer early morning or evening). Do not contaminate water bodies, ponds, or drainage streams with leftover solution.
