Technical Overview
Active Ingredient: Quinalphos 25% EC.
Formulation: EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate).
Mode of Entry: Contact and Stomach poison.
Mode of Action: It acts as a powerful acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor. Upon contact or ingestion, the chemical disrupts the pest's central nervous system, causing immediate paralysis and death. It also exhibits translaminar action, allowing it to penetrate the leaf tissue to eliminate hidden pests (like leaf miners) feeding on the underside of leaves.

*Note on PHI: The Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) is the mandatory waiting timeframe required between the final spray and harvest. Strictly observing the 40-day PHI in Paddy is highly critical, especially for export-quality rice, to avoid chemical residue rejections.
Application Tips & Precautions
Mixing Restrictions: Ekalux is highly compatible with common sticking agents and standard fungicides (like Mancozeb or Carbendazim). However, do not mix it with alkaline products (such as Bordeaux Mixture or Lime Sulphur), as alkalinity degrades the active ingredient instantly.
Application Timing: Spray during the early morning or late evening. Avoid spraying during the heat of the day or when honeybees and pollinators are actively foraging, as it is highly toxic to bees.
Safety Warning: Classified as a Yellow Label (Highly Toxic) pesticide. Always wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including gloves, masks, and eye protection. Keep the spray away from open channels, rivers, or fish ponds, as Quinalphos is highly toxic to aquatic life.
