Bayer Folicur is a world-renowned, broad-spectrum systemic fungicide containing Tebuconazole 25.9% EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate). It belongs to the Triazole (Demethylation Inhibitor - DMI) chemical group.
Folicur works by rapidly penetrating plant tissues and moving systemically upward (acropetally) to inhibit the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. This dual preventive, curative, and eradicative action stops fungal growth in its tracks, halts spore production, and provides long-lasting protection while imparting a healthy green sheen (tonic effect) to the crop.
Crop Uses Overview Across Categories

Vegetable Crops: Used to manage powdery mildew, fruit rots, and leaf spots in chilli, tomato, onion, and cucurbits.
Fruit & Horticulture Crops: Widely applied against powdery mildew, scab, and anthracnose in mango, grapes, apple, and pomegranate.

Good Time to Spray / Apply
Timing: Best applied preventatively at the onset of disease symptoms or when weather conditions (high humidity, cloudy skies, intermittent rain) favor fungal outbreaks.
Weather Conditions: Spray during the early morning or late evening hours when temperatures are cooler and wind speeds are minimal to ensure uniform leaf coverage and prevent rapid evaporation.
Rainfastness: Avoid spraying if rainfall is expected within 3 to 4 hours of application.
Safety Precautions to be Taken
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear protective rubber gloves, a face mask/respirator, safety goggles, and full-length protective clothing during mixing and spraying.
Handling Restrictions: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco while handling or spraying the product.
Drift Management: Ensure spray mist does not drift onto non-target sensitive food crops or neighboring livestock grazing areas.
Post-Application Hygiene: Wash hands, face, and all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water immediately after completing the work. Launder contaminated clothing separately.
Environmental Protection: Avoid contamination of rivers, ponds, and water channels with chemical spray runoff or container washings.
Storage: Keep the product tightly closed in its original container in a cool, dry, locked storage facility away from food items, animal feed, and out of reach of children.
