Lustre + Streptomycin + CabMag SL

Sheath Blight Paddy

₹2655.00₹2000.00

This high-performance, three-in-one crop protection and therapeutic kit is specially designed to tackle aggressive Sheath Blight (Rhizoctonia solani) complexes in high-yielding paddy fields. it combines Dhanuka’s specialized systemic fungicide, Lustre, with a fast-acting systemic antibiotic (Tagmycin / Streptomycin) and Compo Expert's premium liquid calcium-magnesium formulation, Basfoliar CabMag SL.

This premium mix completely stops the upward spread of fungal lesions, forms an internal barrier against secondary bacterial infections, and immediately restores structural cell-wall strength to the base of the plant tillers.

How the Combination Works (Eradication + Structural Defense)

  • Lustre Fungicide (Flusilazole 12.5% + Carbendazim 25% SE): A highly potent, dual-systemic fungicide formulation with protective and curative actions. Flusilazole penetrates deeply to inhibit fungal cell wall ergosterol synthesis, while Carbendazim stops cellular division in the pathogen. Together, they aggressively dry up and arrest the greenish-gray, "snake-skin" lesions visible climbing the lower leaf sheaths.

  • Streptomycin / Tagmycin (Systemic Antibicide): Sheath blight compromises the plant's outer layer, leaving weeping, rotten lesions on the lower stems. These open wounds act as easy access points for destructive bacterial pathogens like Bacterial Leaf Blight ($BLB$). Streptomycin travels systemically through the plant’s vascular network to clear out active bacterial cells from within.

  • Basfoliar CabMag SL (Calcium + Magnesium Nutri-Therapy): Sheath blight physically degrades and weakens the base of the paddy tillers, making the crop highly prone to lodging. Calcium ($Ca$) physically hardens and thickens the outer cell walls, restoring structural stamina to the stems. Magnesium ($Mg$) replenishes the core of the chlorophyll molecule, jumpstarting photosynthesis to quickly reverse the yellowed, disease-stressed appearance of the lower canopy.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Total Sheath Blight Knockdown: Provides rapid systemic control, completely stopping the fungus at the lower canopy level before it can reach the flag leaf and compromise the panicle.

  • Vascular Cross-Protection: Eliminates field uncertainty by targeting active fungal sheath blight while building an internal wall against opportunistic bacterial blights.

  • Anti-Lodging Guard: The localized Calcium delivery in CabMag SL mechanically reinforces the lower nodes and culms of the paddy tillers, preventing the crop from falling over (lodging) due to sheath rot.

  • Optimized Grain Filling: By keeping the leaf sheaths functioning properly and protecting the upper canopy, this combination ensures maximum carbohydrate transport for heavier, brighter, and fully filled grains.

Recommended Dosage & Mixing Guidelines

For 1 Acre of Paddy crop, mix the following components in 200 Liters of clean water:

  • Dhanuka Lustre: 320 to 400 ml

  • Tagmycin / Streptomycin: 24 to 30 grams (approx. 3 to 4 pouches of 6g/10g)

  • Basfoliar CabMag SL: 250 to 300 ml

Mixing Instructions:

  1. Fill your spray tank halfway with clean water.

  2. Dissolve the Tagmycin completely in a small container of water first, then pour it into the tank.

  3. Shake the Lustre bottle well, mix the required quantity with a small amount of water, and add it to the tank.

  4. Finally, add the liquid Basfoliar CabMag SL, stir the entire tank mix thoroughly, top off with water to 200 liters, and spray immediately.

Best Application Practices

  1. Application Timing: Spray immediately at the first sign of water-soaked, irregular lesions on the sheaths near the water level line (usually during the maximum tillering, panicle initiation, or booting stages).

  2. Targeted Spraying: Adjust your spray nozzles downward to ensure the fine mist thoroughly penetrates deep into the dense, lower canopy of the paddy crop where humidity is highest and sheath blight thrives.

  3. Cultural Nitrogen Rule: If sheath blight is actively spreading through your field, immediately halt any scheduled soil application of traditional granular Urea / Nitrogen fertilizers. Excessive nitrogen keeps plant tissues soft and succulent, which drastically accelerates fungal multiplication.
