₹550.00

Dhanuka Markar is a powerful, broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide containing Bifenthrin 10% EC. It is a world-renowned synthetic pyrethroid known for its unique ability to control both a wide variety of insects and various mite species in a single application.

Product Overview

  • Technical Name: Bifenthrin 10% EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate)

  • Chemical Group: Synthetic Pyrethroid

  • Mode of Action: It acts primarily through contact and stomach action. It affects the central and peripheral nervous system of the pests by interfering with sodium channels, leading to rapid paralysis and death.

  • Special Features:

    • Dual Action: Functions as both an insecticide and an acaricide.

    • Strong Residual Activity: Unlike many other pyrethroids, Bifenthrin is more stable in sunlight, providing longer-lasting protection on the leaf surface.

    • Termite Control: In addition to agricultural use, it is highly effective for anti-termite treatments in buildings and timber.

Key Benefits

  • Knockdown Effect: Provides immediate results against fast-moving and flying insects.

  • Broad-Spectrum: Controls bollworms, sucking pests, borers, and mites simultaneously.

  • Low Volatility: Stays on the plant longer and is less likely to drift or evaporate quickly.

  • Safety Profile: Known for having a relatively lower skin irritation profile compared to other older pyrethroids.

Application Instructions

  • Mixing: Emulsify the required quantity of Markar with a small amount of water first, then add the remaining volume of water while stirring.

  • Coverage: Ensure thorough foliar coverage. Since it acts by contact, the spray must reach where the pests are hiding, especially the undersides of leaves for mites and whiteflies.

  • Timing: For best results, apply during the early morning or late evening. For mites, apply as soon as the first signs of webbing or leaf speckling appear.

Safety Precautions

  1. Protective Gear: Always wear gloves, a mask, and protective clothing. Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after application.

  2. Pollinators: Highly toxic to bees. Avoid spraying during the active flowering period.

  3. Aquatic Safety: Extremely toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Do not allow spray drift to reach ponds, lakes, or streams.

  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in the original container, strictly away from children, pets, and food items.

  5. Waiting Period (PHI): Strictly follow the Pre-Harvest Interval (ranging from 5 to 21 days depending on the crop) to ensure residue safety.
