Bayer Oberon is a broad-spectrum, advanced foliar insecticide and acaricide formulated with Spiromesifen 240 SC (22.9% w/w) (Suspension Concentrate). It belongs to the keto-enol (tetronic acid derivative) chemical class and functions as a lipid biosynthesis inhibitor (LBI). It disrupts fatty acid production in target pests, effectively halting their development, reducing female fertility, and providing strong ovicidal and nymphicidal control.
Key Product Features & Benefits
Multi-Stage Control: Highly effective on eggs, nymphs, and juveniles, as well as reducing adult female fecundity.
Translaminar Action: Possesses lipophilic properties that bind to leaf cuticles and slightly penetrate the leaf lamina, offering extended residual protection and reaching pests on the undersides of leaves.
Resistance Management: Features a unique mode of action that makes it an excellent rotation partner for controlling populations resistant to traditional organophosphates or synthetic pyrethroids.
IPM Compatibility: Safe on many beneficial natural predators and pollinators when used according to label instructions.
