Powerful Insecticide for Crop Protection

₹1150.00

PI Osheen is a premium, highly systemic insecticide belonging to the third generation of the neonicotinoid family. Powered by Dinotefuran 20% SG, it is renowned for its exceptional speed of action and its ability to control a wide range of stubborn sucking pests that other insecticides often miss.

Product Overview

  • Technical Name: Dinotefuran 20% SG (Soluble Granules)

  • Chemical Group: Neonicotinoid (3rd Generation)

  • Mode of Action: Systemic, Contact, and Stomach action. It is highly water-soluble and is rapidly absorbed by the plant tissues. It acts on the insect’s nervous system (nicotinic acetylcholine receptors), causing them to stop feeding almost immediately, followed by paralysis and death.

  • Special Features:

    • Translaminar Movement: When sprayed on the upper surface of the leaf, it quickly moves to the underside to kill hidden pests.

    • Highly Systemic: It moves upward through the plant's xylem, protecting new growth.

    • Agcelence Effect: Users often notice improved plant greening and vigor after application.

Key Benefits

  • Quick Knockdown: Pests stop damaging the crop within hours of application.

  • Long-Lasting Protection: Provides residual control for a longer period compared to older chemistries.

  • Excellent against BPH: Recognized as one of the best solutions for managing Brown Plant Hopper (BPH) in Paddy.

  • Low Toxicity to Beneficials: Generally safer for certain predatory insects compared to older organophosphates.

Application Instructions

  • Water Volume: Use 200 Litres of water per acre to ensure thorough coverage of the foliage.

  • Application Timing: For Paddy, apply when the BPH count reaches the ETL (usually 5–10 hoppers per hill). For vegetables, apply at the first appearance of sucking pests.

  • Mixing: The SG formulation dissolves completely in water. Fill the tank halfway, add the required Osheen, and stir while adding the rest of the water.

Safety Precautions

  1. Protective Gear: Wear a mask, gloves, and protective clothing during application.

  2. Pollinators: Like most neonicotinoids, Dinotefuran is toxic to bees. Avoid spraying during the peak flowering period when bees are actively foraging.

  3. Weather: Do not spray if rain is expected within 2 hours of application.

  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in the original container, away from children and food.

  5. Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): Ensure a waiting period of at least 10–15 days (depending on the crop) before harvesting.
