FMC Rogor is an organophosphate insecticide containing Dimethoate 30% EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate). It operates through dual-action systemic and contact pathways, making it effective against sucking and chewing insect pests. Once sprayed, it penetrates plant tissues rapidly, providing prolonged protection against hidden foliage pests as well as surface-feeding insects.
Key Information & Mode of Action
Active Ingredient: Dimethoate 30% EC
Mode of Action: Systemic, contact, and stomach action. It acts as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor, disrupting the pest's nervous system and leading to paralysis and death.
Target Spectrum: Aphids, jassids, thrips, whiteflies, shoot flies, leafhoppers, caterpillars, mites, and scale insects.
Crop-Wise Uses & Recommended Dosages
Crop Category | Specific Crops | Target Pests | Dosage (per Acre) | Dosage (per Liter of Water) |

Best Time to Spray
Time of Day: Early morning (6:00 AM – 9:00 AM) or late afternoon (4:00 PM – 6:30 PM). Avoid midday heat, as high temperatures accelerate chemical evaporation and increase foliage scorch risk.
Weather Conditions: Spray during calm weather. Avoid application if high winds exist (to prevent chemical drift) or if rain is forecast within 4 to 6 hours.
Crop Growth Stage: Apply at the first appearance of sucking pests before severe infestation sets in. Avoid spraying during active flowering/pollination, as Dimethoate is toxic to honeybees.
Safety Precautions
Personal Protection: Always wear full personal protective equipment (PPE)—nitrile gloves, safety goggles, chemical-resistant apron, and a respirator mask—during mixing and spraying.
Mixing & Handling: Never mix the concentrate with bare hands. Use dedicated measuring cylinders and containers.
Avoid Drift & Inhalation: Do not spray against wind direction. Never eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco during application.
Waiting Period (PHI - Pre-Harvest Interval): Maintain a mandatory pre-harvest interval of at least 14 to 21 days depending on the vegetable/fruit crop before harvesting.
Toxicity to Beneficial Insects: Highly toxic to honeybees, aquatic life, and birds. Do not wash spray equipment near water sources, canals, or ponds.
First Aid & Disposal: In case of accidental skin contact or eye splash, rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes. Empty containers should be triple-rinsed, punctured, and disposed of per local agricultural pesticide guidelines; never reuse empty chemical bottles.
