Formulation Type: ME (Micro-Emulsion) — ensures rapid absorption and better spread across leaf surfaces.
Crop-Wise Uses & Dosage Table
Shaked is widely utilized across various agricultural segments. Below is the general usage and dosage guideline categorized by crop type:
Crop Category | Target Weeds | Recommended Dosage (per Acre) | Water Volume (per Acre) |
Commercial/Field Crops (e.g., Soybean, Groundnut, Cotton) | Annual & perennial grassy weeds, broadleaf weeds | 400 – 500 ml | 200 Liters |
Vegetable Crops (Select labeled pulses/vegetables) | Narrow & broadleaf weeds | 350 – 450 ml | 150 – 200 Liters |
Fruits & Horticulture (Orchard weed control / Inter-row spaces) | Mixed weed flora | 400 – 500 ml | 200 Liters |
Note on Dosage: Always calibrate your spray equipment to ensure uniform distribution. Do not overlap sprays, as higher concentrations can cause temporary crop check.
Best Time to Spray
To maximize the efficacy of Adama Shaked, timing is critical:
Weed Growth Stage: Spray when weeds are actively growing at the 2 to 4-leaf stage and are relatively young (height around 10–15 cm). Avoid spraying on mature or flowering weeds.
Soil Moisture: Adequate soil moisture at the time of application significantly enhances the herbicide's uptake and performance. Avoid spraying under dry, drought-stressed conditions.
Weather Conditions: Apply during calm weather conditions (early morning or late afternoon). Do not spray if rain is expected within 4 to 6 hours of application, or during high winds to prevent drift onto sensitive neighboring crops.
Safety Precautions
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear protective gear, including rubber gloves, face masks, eye goggles, boots, and long-sleeved clothing during mixing and application.
Handling Care: Avoid direct skin contact and inhalation of the spray mist. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling or spraying the product.
Post-Application Hygiene: Thoroughly wash your hands, face, and exposed skin with soap and water immediately after work. Wash contaminated clothing separately.
Environmental Safety: Prevent contamination of water bodies, fish ponds, and drainage systems with leftover spray solution or container washings.
Storage: Store the product securely in its original, sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, safely out of reach of children and livestock.
