Tata Rallis Tafgor is a systemic organophosphate insecticide and acaricide containing Dimethoate 30% EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate). It provides dual-action pest control through direct contact and systemic stomach action, working as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor (IRAC Group 1B).
Once sprayed, the chemical penetrates rapidly into plant tissues and translocates through the vascular sap stream, providing effective control against hidden and concealed sap-sucking insects, mites, and leaf miners that feed on leaf undersides and new shoots.

Best Time to Spray
Daily Timing: Spray during early morning (before 9:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 4:30 PM). Avoid hot midday sun, which accelerates pesticide breakdown and increases the risk of foliar scorch.
Crop Stage: Apply at the first visual sign of pest infestation before populations reach severe threshold levels.
Bloom Warning: Do NOT spray during peak flowering/pollination. Dimethoate is highly toxic to honeybees and other beneficial pollinators.
Weather Conditions: Apply under calm wind conditions to prevent chemical drift. Avoid application if rain is expected within 4 to 6 hours so the plant has time to systemically absorb the active ingredient.
Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): Maintain a strict waiting period of 14 to 21 days between the final spray and harvesting edible fruits, vegetables, or tea leaves.
Safety Precautions
Toxicity Profile: Dimethoate is a potent organophosphate (classified as an AChE inhibitor). The standard medical antidote in cases of accidental exposure or poisoning is Atropine sulphate (administered under medical supervision).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear chemical-resistant nitrile or rubber gloves, protective goggles, a respirator/vapor mask, long-sleeved overalls, and gumboots during handling, measuring, and application.
Mixing & Compatibility: Never mix Tafgor with strongly alkaline substances (such as Bordeaux mixture, lime sulphur, or copper oxychloride), which rapidly degrade Dimethoate via alkaline hydrolysis.
Application Discipline: Always spray with the wind at your back—never walk into the spray mist. Do not eat, drink, chew tobacco, or smoke while handling or applying the chemical.
Worker Re-Entry Interval (REI): Keep livestock, pets, and unprotected workers out of the treated field for at least 24 to 48 hours following application.
Environmental & Aquatic Safety: Highly hazardous to aquatic life and birds. Prevent spray drift and never wash spray tanks, hoses, or empty containers in open canals, ponds, or irrigation wells.
Disposal: Triple-rinse empty tins/containers, crush or puncture them so they cannot be reused, and dispose of them through authorized agricultural chemical disposal channels.
