Adama Takaf is a broad-spectrum, advanced combination insecticide designed to provide powerful dual-action control over persistent sucking and chewing pests. Combining two active ingredients with different modes of action—Diafenthiuron (a thiourea insecticide/acaricide) and Bifenthrin (a synthetic pyrethroid)—it offers quick knockdown alongside long-lasting residual protection, helping secure crop health and maximize yields across a wide range of agricultural and horticultural segments.
Key Features & Benefits
Dual Action: Targets the nervous system and inhibits cellular energy production in pests, preventing resistance development.
Broad-Spectrum Control: Effectively manages whiteflies, mites, jassids, aphids, and various lepidopteran pests (caterpillars/borers).
Versatile Use: Safe and effective when used as recommended across commercial field crops, vegetables, and fruit orchards.
Crop-Wise Dosage & Application Table
Crop Category | Target Pests | Dosage per Acre | Remarks / Critical Stages |
Commercial Crops (e.g., Cotton, Soybean, Paddy) | Whiteflies, Jassids, Aphids, Bollworms, Stem Borers | 300 – 400 ml | Spray when pest population crosses economic threshold level (ETL); ensure thorough foliage coverage. |
Vegetable Crops (e.g., Chilli, Tomato, Brinjal, Cabbage) | Thrips, Mites, Fruit Borers, Whiteflies | 250 – 350 ml | Apply during early infestation stages; repeat at 10–14 day intervals if required. |
Fruits & Horticulture Crops (e.g., Mango, Citrus, Pomegranate) | Mites, Aphids, Fruit Borers, Scale Insects | 3 ml to 4 ml per Liter of water | Use high-volume spray equipment to ensure complete canopy coverage, especially on the undersides of leaves. |
Best Time to Spray
Time of Day: Spray during the early morning or late afternoon. Avoid spraying during peak sunlight hours or high temperatures to prevent leaf scorch and ensure optimal product absorption.
Weather Conditions: Apply when rain is not expected for at least 4 to 6 hours. Calm weather conditions prevent spray drift.
Safety Precautions
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear protective clothing, rubber gloves, face masks, boots, and eye protection while handling and spraying.
Handling: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco during mixing and application. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
Storage & Disposal: Keep the product tightly closed in its original container, stored in a cool, dry place away from children, food, and animal feed. Dispose of empty containers safely by crushing and burying them; never reuse them.
First Aid: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting unless advised by a physician. If product contacts skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water. Seek medical attention immediately if irritation persists.
