Tata Rallis Taqat is a broad-spectrum, combination fungicide containing Captan 70% + Hexaconazole 5% WP (Wettable Powder). It pairs a multi-site protective contact fungicide with an internal, triazole-class systemic curative fungicide to deliver complete crop defense.

Dual Mode of Action

  • Captan 70% (Phthalimide group – Multi-site Contact):

  • Acts as an exterior protective shield on foliage, stems, and fruits.

  • Disables essential fungal respiratory enzymes at multiple biochemical sites (FRAC Group M04), which prevents spore germination and makes resistance development unlikely.

  • Hexaconazole 5% (Triazole group – Systemic & Curative):

  • Absorbed rapidly through green leaf tissues and translocated acropetally (upward) via the plant's xylem vessels (FRAC Group 3).

  • Inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cell membranes, stopping mycelial expansion and arresting existing internal infections.

Crop Usage & Recommended Dosage

Taqat provides protection and eradication against major Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, and Deuteromycetes fungal pathogens across all major crop segments.

Best Time to Spray

  • Application Window: Apply protectively before anticipated disease outbreaks, or at the earliest visible symptom (such as initial leaf spotting, blossom blight, or white powdery patches).

  • Daily Timing: Spray during early morning (before 9:00 AM) or late afternoon/evening (after 4:30 PM) to avoid midday heat and rapid droplet evaporation.

  • Weather & Rainfastness: Spray when wind is calm. Captan requires adequate time to dry and bind to the leaf surface; ensure a rain-free window of at least 2 to 3 hours after application.

  • Spray Repetition: Under high disease pressure or cloudy, humid conditions, repeat the spray after 10 to 14 days.

  • Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): Maintain a waiting period of 7 to 15 days before harvesting edible produce (depending on specific crop guidelines).

Safety Precautions

  • Preparation & Slurry Mixing: Never pour dry powder directly into a full spray tank. Measure the required dose, mix it in a separate bucket with a small quantity of water to create a smooth, lump-free slurry, and pour the pre-mix into the half-filled tank while stirring continuously.

  • Compatibility: Do NOT mix Taqat with strongly alkaline chemicals (such as lime sulphur, Bordeaux mixture, or caustic formulations) or oil-based formulations, as alkaline hydrolysis rapidly degrades Captan and causes phytotoxicity.

  • Personal Protection (PPE): Wear a protective face mask, rubber gloves, eye goggles, long trousers, and footwear while measuring and spraying. Hexaconazole/Captan mixtures can irritate eyes and the respiratory tract upon direct exposure.

  • Application Discipline: Always spray downwind—never spray facing into the wind. Do not eat, drink, chew tobacco, or smoke during chemical handling and spraying.

  • Aquatic Safety: Highly toxic to aquatic organisms and fish. Prevent spray drift and never rinse containers or washing equipment near farm ponds, irrigation channels, or wells.
