Adama Topmast is a systemic, broad-spectrum fungicide containing Thiophanate-Methyl 70% WP. It works as both a preventative and curative fungicide, offering excellent systemic translocation through the plant's vascular system to protect new growth from within. Once absorbed by leaves and roots, it interrupts fungal cell division and nuclear division, halting the development of fungal spores and stopping active infections in their tracks
Key Features & Benefits
Systemic Action: Rapidly absorbed by plant tissues and translocated upward, protecting the entire plant structure.
Dual Properties: Acts protectively (preventing spore germination) and curatively (stopping the growth of established fungal pathogens).
Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: Highly effective against a wide variety of fungal diseases, including powdery mildew, leaf spots, scabs, rots, and wilts across diverse crop families.
Crop-Wise Dosage & Application Table
Crop Category | Target Diseases | Dosage per Acre | Recommended Application / Method |
Commercial Crops (e.g., Soybean, Cotton, Paddy, Wheat) | Powdery Mildew, Collar Rot, Stem Rot, Leaf Spot, Blast | 400 – 500 g per acre | Dissolve in 150–200 liters of water. Spray uniformly over the crop at the first appearance of disease symptoms. |
Vegetable Crops (e.g., Chilli, Tomato, Brinjal, Cucurbits) | Fruit Rot, Anthracnose, Powdery Mildew, Damping Off | 350 – 500 g per acre (or 1.5 to 2 g per liter of water) | Spray at 10 to 14 day intervals during humid weather conditions favorable to fungal spread. |
Fruits & Horticulture Crops (e.g., Grapes, Apple, Papaya, Mango, Pomegranate) | Scab, Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose, Fruit Rot,Dieback | 1.5 to 2 g per liter of water (approx. 400–500 g per acre) | Can be used as a foliar spray or paint paste for pruning cuts and trunk infections. |
Good Time to Spray
Proactive Application: Best applied preventatively before disease onset or immediately at the very first sign of symptoms, especially during warm, humid, or rainy spells.
Time of Day: Spray during the early morning or late afternoon to allow maximum absorption before high afternoon temperatures.
Weather Conditions: Avoid spraying if rain is expected within 3 to 4 hours to prevent the spray solution from washing off before systemic absorption occurs.
Safety & Usage Precautions
1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear a face mask, rubber gloves, protective clothing, and eye protection while mixing and applying the powder.
2. Avoid Inhalation & Contact: Do not inhale the dust/spray mist or allow direct contact with skin and eyes. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
3. No Eating or Smoking: Do not eat, drink, or smoke during the preparation and spraying process.
