Bayer Vayego is a next-generation, broad-spectrum systemic insecticide formulated as a Suspension Concentrate (SC) containing Tetraniliprole 18.18% w/w (200 g/L SC). It belongs to the diamide chemical class (Ryanodine receptor modulator).
Vayego works by targeting the insect’s ryanodine receptors, causing rapid muscle paralysis, cessation of feeding, and ultimate elimination of target pests. It offers dual-action capability—functioning effectively as both a foliar spray and a soil application (drenching/drip). It provides rapid knockdown alongside long-lasting residual control against stubborn chewing pests like caterpillars and stem borers, while supporting healthy crop vigor.
Crop Uses Overview Across Categories
Bayer Vayego is registered and utilized across a diverse range of agricultural and horticultural systems:
Commercial & Field Crops: Highly effective in sugarcane (for early shoot borers and root borers) and rice/paddy (for stem borers and leaf folders).
Vegetable Crops: Widely used in crucifers, tomatoes, and chillies to control fruit borers, diamondback moths, and spodoptera.
Fruit & Horticulture Crops: Applied in fruit orchards to manage fruit borers, leaf miners, and chewing lepidopteran pests.

Good Time to Spray / Apply
Timing: Apply at the earliest appearance of pest larvae or when egg-hatching begins, before caterpillars cause deep internal damage to fruits or stems. Avoid spraying on heavy, uncontrolled pest outbreaks.
Weather Conditions: Spray during the early morning or late evening hours when temperatures are cool and winds are calm to ensure even canopy coverage and prevent rapid drying.
Rainfastness: Vayego dries quickly on plant surfaces and resists wash-off, but avoid spraying if heavy torrential rain is expected within 2 hours of application.
Safety Precautions to be Taken
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear protective rubber gloves, a face mask/respirator, safety goggles, long-sleeved clothing, trousers, and boots during mixing and application.
Handling Restrictions: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco while handling or spraying the product. Avoid direct skin and eye contact.
Post-Application Hygiene: Wash hands, face, and all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water immediately after work. Launder work garments separately.
Environmental Protection: The product is toxic to aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate ponds, rivers, streams, or drainage canals with chemical waste, spray runoff, or container washings.
Storage: Keep the product tightly sealed in its original container in a cool, dry, locked storage facility away from food, animal feed, and completely out of reach of children and livestock.
