Bayer Whip Super is a selective, systemic post-emergence grass herbicide containing Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl 9.3% EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate). It belongs to the Aryloxyphenoxypropionate (FOPs) chemical class.
Whip Super is specifically engineered to target and eliminate destructive annual and perennial grassy weeds in broadleaf and non-grassy crops. It is rapidly absorbed through the green foliage of the weeds and translocated downwards to the growing points and root meristems. It inhibits fatty acid synthesis (ACCase inhibitor), halting weed growth within days and leading to complete desiccation and death while leaving companion broadleaf crops safe and unharmed.
Important Clarification on Crop Uses
Primary Registered Use: Bayer Whip Super is officially labeled and registered for selective weed control in broadleaf and non-cereal commercial and oilseed crops—most notably Soybean, Cotton, Groundnut, Blackgram (Urdbean), and Onion.
Note on Broad Crop Categories: It is a grass killer only. It is safe to use in broadleaf crops to remove grassy weeds like Echinochloa, Digitaria, and Dactyloctenium. However, it must never be sprayed on cereal or grass crops (such as Rice, Wheat, Maize, or Sorghum), as it will severely damage or kill the crop.

Good Time to Spray / Apply
Timing: Apply at the active growth stage of weeds (when grasses are at the 3 to 4 leaf stage, typically 15 to 25 days after sowing/emergence). Do not wait until grasses are overgrown or mature.
Soil Moisture: Ensure there is adequate soil moisture at the time of spraying so weeds are actively growing and metabolizing, which enhances chemical uptake.
Weather Conditions: Spray during calm early morning or late afternoon hours. Avoid spraying if heavy rain is expected within 4 to 6 hours.
Safety Precautions to be Taken
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear rubber gloves, protective goggles, a face mask, long-sleeved clothing, and boots during mixing and application.
Drift Management: Prevent spray drift from moving onto adjacent grass crops (like paddy fields or lawns), as accidental exposure will destroy them.
Handling Restrictions: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew tobacco while handling or spraying the product. Avoid direct skin and eye contact.
Post-Application Hygiene: Wash hands, face, and all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water immediately after completing the work. Wash work clothes separately.
Environmental Protection: Avoid contaminating fish ponds, irrigation channels, or slow-moving water sources with chemical wash water or spray runoff.
Storage: Keep the product tightly sealed in its original container in a cool, dry, locked storage space away from food, animal feed, and completely out of reach of children.
